West End Stars Alexander Evans, Sophia Ragavelas and Zoe Culett are all appearing at the Cronton Centre of Excellence in Performing Arts end of year Gala which is taking place in Centre Stage Theatre, Kingsway on the 5th July.
The musical stars are joining past and present students from Cronton Sixth Form to create a musical and performance extravaganza to top an amazing year of productions at the College.
Alexander has performed on Broadway and West End stages in many shows including Sunset Boulevard, Chess and Master Class. Sophia’s past shows have included Les Miserables, Mamma Mia and The Lion King. And Zoe, who is also a patron of the College, has appeared in Phantom of the Opera, Les Miserables and the Secret Garden. The stars will all be singing songs from shows and will also be joining the students to create a stunning closing performance to finish the year of in style.
Matt Plant, Artistic Director for the Centre of Excellence said, “It is a fitting end to a hugely successful year for us. Our thanks go to all of the people who have supported us and to the ex-students who are returning. The idea of our students working with Zoe, Alexander and Sophia is wonderful and we are extremely excited at the prospect.”
The Gala Performance starts at 7.30pm on 5th July and comes at the end of the college’s Shakespeare week that sees the Centre of Excellence perform Romeo and Juliet at a variety of churches in the borough. Tickets for both performances can be obtained by calling the box office on: 0151 257 2032.”
