  • Monday 8:30 am–5 pm
  • Tuesday 8:30 am–5 pm
  • Wednesday 8:30 am–5 pm
  • Thursday 8:30 am–5 pm
  • Friday 8:30 am–2 pm

Within term time our safeguarding team are actively supporting students throughout the college day so if you have a concern that needs to be dealt with urgently, please contact reception to inform.

Student Wellbeing Support

At Cronton Sixth Form College, your wellbeing matters. We are committed to creating a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment where every student can thrive both personally and academically.

Our dedicated Safeguarding & Wellbeing Team consists of experienced and compassionate advisors who are here to listen, support, and guide you whenever you need help. The team provides confidential advice and practical support to help you manage challenges that may be affecting your wellbeing.
Whether you are dealing with personal concerns, mental health difficulties, financial pressures, health issues, bullying, harassment, abuse, or any other situation impacting your daily life, support is always available.
We understand that life’s challenges can affect anyone at any time, and they are not always linked to your studies. Whatever you may be facing, our team offers a safe, respectful, and non-judgemental space where you can talk openly and access the help you need to move forward with confidence.

Safeguarding at Cronton Sixth Form College

At Cronton Sixth Form College, safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility. We are committed to providing a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment where all students can learn, develop, and succeed.
Our Safeguarding Policy outlines the measures we take to protect children, young people, and vulnerable adults while they are studying with us. It explains how we promote wellbeing, respond to concerns, and take appropriate action when a student may be at risk of harm.

The policy is fully supported by our Governors and Senior Leadership Team, reflecting our commitment to maintaining the highest standards of care and protection across the College.

If you are worried about your own safety or wellbeing, or have concerns about another student, we encourage you to speak to a member of our Safeguarding & Wellbeing Team, your Specialist Personal Tutor (SPT), Tutor, or any trusted member of staff. We are here to listen, support you, and ensure that any concerns are dealt with sensitively, confidentially, and appropriately.

No concern is too small. If something doesn’t feel right, please speak to us. We are here to help.

Student Services / Programme Management

The Student Services / Programme Management office is the hub of the college and within the program office you will find:

  • Wellbeing / Safeguarding Team
    We have an experienced health and wellbeing team. Welfare is their priority, and they can support you with any personal difficulties or obstacles you may encounter during your time at college. The officers are – Sharron Atherton, Jayne Barker, Helen Maddison

The team can offer a variety of support and once enrolled at college they can work with you to create a wellbeing plan.

If you need financial assistance with the costs of attending college, our bursary fund may be able to help with essential expenses. Speak to Student Services to find out more and check your eligibility.
