Music Students Rock the Cronton Playhouse with Latest Gig
Students from the Professional Music Programme (PMP) at Cronton Sixth Form rocked the Cronton Playhouse theatre with their latest gig, Making History, which marked a triumphant return to live music in front of audiences at the College.
Making History was a musical journey through the cultural revolutions of the 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s. In front of a packed live audience at the Playhouse, the students performed a range of classic hits which covered various musical styles from the different decades.
James Himsworth, PMP Tutor at Cronton Sixth Form, said, “I’m incredibly proud of the show and how brilliantly the students performed. For some of them, it was their first-ever gig in front of a live audience.
“The atmosphere was amazing, and they really rose to the occasion. We had the whole crowd singing along and dancing in their seats! Special thanks must go to the tech team and to our Level 2 PMP students who helped out as part of their work experience.”
The College are very excited for upcoming events at the Cronton Playhouse, including Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Sunset Boulevard, Macbeth, A Christmas Carol, and a second live music gig; Get Up, Stand Up!
