Science Students Ecstatic for Fantastic Plastic

Students studying Science at Cronton Sixth Form College were blown away by amazing guest speaker, Professor Averil MacDonald, who joined the College as part of STEM Week to deliver her world famous Fantastic Plastic lecture.

Throughout the gripping session, Averil performed numerous experiments and demonstrations outlining the vast amounts of weird and wonderful uses for plastic and how polymers are used in many different ways.

Our students were also joined in the audience by local partner schools Ormiston Chadwick Academy, Sandymoor High School, Penketh High School, St Gregory’s High School and Lord Derby Academy, all of which were impressed by Averil’s brilliant lecture.
