College Celebrates Fantastic Vocational VESPA Week
Cronton Sixth Form College and Riverside College have combined to celebrate a brilliant week of activities, challenges and guest speakers as part of their very own Vocational VESPA Week.
VESPA, which stands for Vision, Effort, Systems, Practice and Attitude is a system adopted by the two College’s to support students and provide them with a plan that they can implement during their studies to ensure they achieve their full potential.
During the week, a whole host of guest speakers, events and in-house competitions took place across both campuses in a bid to inspire and provide students with first-hand information that can help them throughout their studies. Students across all areas where treated to industry specialist guest speakers from a variety of different sectors including Universities, Retailers, Engineering and many more.
To round off a fantastic week, Business studies students welcomed representatives from the National Enterprise Challenge to undertake an in-house competition with the winning team being awarded with the chance to represent the College in London next year in a national challenge with New Balance.
Mehrdad Daliri, Programme Manager for Vocational Studies said, “VESPA Week has been a huge success among the students, they have learnt so much in this last week thanks to all of our fantastic guests and inspiring events. It was brilliant to see so many students so engaged in the busy events, we already can’t wait for next year’s VESPA Week!”
