Exciting Events at College for Children in Need
Cronton Sixth Form College and Riverside College last week came together to raise money for Children in Need 2014. Lots of exciting games and activities took place at both colleges, with just over £630 raised on the day.
Cronton Sixth Form held various sporting events to raise money, including a Spination, a Zumbathon, a penalty shootout and a basketball shootout. Uniformed Services students also wore lots of great costumes, taking part in a fancy dress circuit training session.
Riverside College held a table tennis tournament, a nail bar, a fastest car lap challenge and FIFA tournament on Xbox, and a five-a-side football tournament. Some of the brave male staff at the College had their legs waxed to raise money for the charity.
Both colleges held cake sales, with lots of delicious treats available. Staff also had the option to dress down or dress up by donating £1.
College enrichment officer, Joe Clements, said “It’s been a great day, staff and students have raised a fantastic amount of money for Children in Need. Our students and staff went above and beyond to raise money for the charity and we are all very proud of what they have achieved.”
