Please note all of our A Level subjects must be studied as part of a full time A Level programme. You will choose 3 A level subjects to study over two years.
What is this course about?
This is a really exciting and challenging course for those exceptionally talented mathematicians who have excelled in Maths at GCSE. The course will cover a range of more advanced and theoretical topics that are not on the normal A level Maths specification. Some of these topics include such things as complex numbers, matrices and mathematical proof. If you have an interest in studying maths well beyond A Level then this is the course for you. In 2023 63% of students achieved an A*-A in Further Maths.

Students will also have the opportunity to take part in super curricular activities including Mathletics Club.
Entry requirements:
A minimum of 3 x 5’s and 2 x 4’s at GCSE including a Grade 7 in Maths and a Grade 5 in English Language.
What will this course lead on to?
Mathematics and Further Mathematics are welcomed for a wide variety of degree courses, particularly in areas such as mathematics, physics, a huge range of engineering courses, and increasingly degrees associated with the financial sector and actuarial work. The precise and logical thinking developed with these degrees makes the students very marketable and highly sought after in the employment market.
How will I be assessed?
You will complete exams at the end of year two.
