Cronton College Students Shine at Chamber of Commerce Meeting
Outstanding Business students from Cronton Sixth Form showcased their talents and professionalism by presenting to an audience of local business leaders at the monthly Chamber of Commerce ‘1stuesday Breakfast Networking’ event.
Taking place at the DCBL Halton Stadium, Business students Chloe Doran, George Darnton, Joe Cooper and Joshua Peck presented independently to the local employers, which included Chief Executive of Halton Borough Council, Stephen Young, and Chief Executive Officer of Halton Chamber of Commerce, Rachael Owen.
The students dedicated their half-term break to creating the presentations, with each designed to highlight work experience opportunities for local students. Topics included:
- The benefits of work experience
- Extracurricular opportunities
- The importance of mock interviews
- Having a mentor/coach within an employer
Following the presentations, Rachael Owen praised the students on their work. They then participated in a Q&A session, where they received career advice from the employers.
Cronton Sixth Form is proud of these exemplary representatives who have demonstrated confidence, professionalism, and dedication by taking part. Their efforts have not only showcased their individual talents but also highlighted the college’s commitment to providing valuable work experience opportunities for its students.
