Standing in the Footsteps of Musical Giants
Talented students studying the Professional Music Programme at Cronton Sixth Form have impressed a packed out audience at the world-famous Cavern Club for their fourth and final gig of the year.
The Cavern gig is an annual event, as part of the PMP course at Cronton. It represents the culmination of students work from throughout the year, while allowing them to follow in the footsteps of Cavern Club legends such as The Beatles and Oasis.
The two-and-a-half-hour gig is the perfect chance for the students to put all the hard work from their class into practice, and flaunt the wide variety of songs and styles they have developed during their time on the course. Ranging from Queen and The Eagles, to Abba and The Beatles, the students put on a show to remember.
Chris Burridge, Tutor on the Professional Music Programme said, “This event in particular was a resounding success, with several outstanding performances from students with a wide range of musical backgrounds. The students came off stage buzzing, and are already looking forward to next year!”
