Business Students Embark on Beautiful Barcelona
Business students at Cronton Sixth Form have recently returned from an action packed 5 day residential to the beautiful city of Barcelona where they visited the city’s iconic landmarks and gained an insight into the workings of local businesses.
The students who are studying a Level 3 Business qualification, were given the amazing opportunity to explore some of Barcelona’s very own businesses including the home of FC Barcelona, Camp Nou and the world famous Estrella Damm Beer Brewery, while also visiting the city’s glamorous landmarks.
Basked in glorious sunshine, The Sagrada Familia and Parc Guell were among the incredible sights enjoyed by the students, before a private tour of the inner workings of the La Boqueria Market helped them to understand the rich culture of Catalonia and how trade works at a local level.
To round off the trip, the students were able to sample the local cuisine at various tapas restaurants and participate in a tasting session of regional cheeses.
Level 3 Business student Amy Clarke said, “Barcelona is a beautiful city and I’m so glad I came on this trip, it has helped me understand the UK’s place in the world and in Europe and just how much trade happens in the continent.”
Level 3 Business Tutor Bryan Doyle said, “Spending four days with the students in one of the world’s most beautiful cities has been a brilliant experience. It is always fantastic to see the student’s experience new things whilst bringing their learning to life! I’m really looking forward to our next College trip to Krakow in December.”
