The West End’s Sweeney Todd, Simeon Truby, visiting students at Cronton Sixth Form College on the eve of their own version of the famous Broadway musical which will take place on the 27th to 28th March.
Simeon, who is currently starring in To Kill A Mocking Bird at The Manchester Royal Exchange, is about to recreate his role in Dubai and will be making a mad dash to meet actors from Cronton Sixth Form College before flying off to rehearsals.
Having clocked up a CV including Emmerdale, A Touch of Frost and Coronation Street as well as world class performances in Les Miserables and Chess, Simeon will offer advice and guidance to the budding actors who are currently studying within the sixth form’s highly successful Centre of Excellence for Performing Arts.
Simeon said, “I’ve heard some great things about the students at Cronton, so I’m looking forward to meeting them.”
Adam Baker, who plays the title role in the College’s performance next week said, “I have had the opportunity to work with some exceptional people during my time with the Centre of Excellence in Performing Arts at Cronton. The thought of Simeon coming in and spending time on our production really is as good as it gets for me!”
