Tomorrow’s Teachers Develop School Pupil’s Creative Writing Talents
Tomorrow’s Teachers Programme and Creative Writing Club students from Cronton Sixth Form College shared their skills through an exciting creative writing workshop at St Bede’s Catholic Junior School in Widnes.
Laura Farrell and Olivia Darwin-Welsby, who are part of the college’s Creative Writing Club, joined Hannah Williams, Thomas Whitfield and Jessica Charnock from the Tomorrow’s Doctors Programme to support an interactive morning. The talented students shared their passion for creative writing to inspire the next generation of readers.
In groups, the pupils were taught creative writing techniques through fun workshops which included a detective mystery activity and a letter writing workshop.
Cronton Sixth Form English tutor Stephanie Power commented, “Our students really enjoyed the morning, sharing their skills with the delightful primary school students whist gaining valuable teaching experience. Thank you to St Bede’s Catholic Junior School for inviting us to share the morning. We are looking forward to working with the school on future projects.”
