Reanna Johnson Aims to Provide a Voice for Young People of Halton
Level 3 Childcare Student, Reanna Johnson, became the newest Member of UK Youth Parliament for Halton after receiving over 800 votes across the borough.
The UK Youth Parliament represents young people across the UK and provides a direct line to high level decision makers at Westminster and locally in Halton.
Reanna will attend the House of Commons in November when the UK Youth Parliament meets to debate and choose annual campaign topics. She will serve a two year term until the next elections in 2016.
The former Wade Deacon High School student has a long history of guidance as a student rep, girl guide, young leader and army cadet; she hopes to raise awareness of these and other organisations through her new role. Her ultimate career goal is to go to university and become a primary school teacher.
Reanna said “I chose to study at Cronton because of the great location and fantastic results the College achieves. The teaching staff are very helpful and are always there to provide support when I need it.
“I am looking forward to providing a voice for young people in the community and getting their opinion’s heard.”
