LAMDA Success for Centre of Excellence Students
Three students from the Centre of Excellence for Perfoming Arts at Cronton Sixth Form College are delighted after achieving excellent grades in their externally assessed London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA) exams, studied as part of their A level programme at the college.
Students Rachel Minghella and Gabrielle Stanfield both achieved a Distinction and Reuben Austin achieved a Merit grade.
Performing Arts tutor and LAMDA specialist Andrew Curphey has worked with the students over the past few months to help them achieve their Grade 7 (Silver Medal) Acting qualification, accredited by the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art.
Andrew was delighted with the achievements, commenting “The students were all excellent on the day of the exam and throughout the preparation, I am very proud of their achievements.”
A level student Rachel Minghella said of the experience “It was thoroughly enjoyable and has been an extremely valuable experience. It has helped to develop my confidence which is great as I will soon be auditioning to study at reputable drama schools”.
