Cronton College High Achievers Opening Doors to Oxbridge and Beyond
As the first-year students move into the final term of the year, we are proud to celebrate an exceptional group of high achievers who have embraced every opportunity to learn, grow, and excel. The High Achievers Programme (HAP) at Cronton equips driven students with exceptional support to reach top destinations including Oxford, Cambridge, other Russell Group universities, as well as competitive courses such as Medicine, Dentistry, Veterinary Science, alongside top degree apprenticeships.
Alongside the tailored support offering gifted and talented students the necessary skills and experience, The High Achievers Programme offers the students the opportunity to apply for prestigious schemes run by some of the top universities in the country. Students this year have already been accepted onto programmes such as the Cambridge Shadowing Scheme, Oxford Study Days, Liverpool Scholars and many more. Students will take part in these external programmes alongside some of the tailored super curricular programme at the College including Tomorrow’s Scientists, Tomorrow’s Medical Professionals, Tomorrow’s Lawyers and Tomorrow’s Teachers which are designed to provide them an enhancement to their A-Level qualifications.
Taking part in these programmes will enable the students to build on the success of the exceptional year two students, many of whom have been offered places at Oxford and Cambridge, as well as medical and veterinary degrees.
One successful first year student, Adam Banks, is following in the footsteps of past students, Erin Barthe and Jayden Rigby, after successfully gaining a place on the prestigious Sutton Trust USA Programme. Erin completed her A Levels in Cronton College in 2025 and is now studying a Liberal Arts degree at Smith College in Massachusetts. Jayden will take his A Level exams in the summer and has been offered, and accepted, a place at Dartmouth College in New Hampshire, an Ivy League University. This is an incredible achievement!
Alongside these successes, we are incredibly proud of second year student, Ashwin Sharma, who has been selected to represent the UK at the prestigious International Space Settlement Design Competition in Florida. Ashwin has also been awarded a full scholarship covering all costs, marking an outstanding achievement.
We would like to wish the very best of luck to our first year students as they begin exploring university options and prepare to start the application process in September. We also send our best wishes to our second year students as they prepare to sit their exams and take the next steps to their exciting careers.
