Students Visit Iconic Sporting City of Barcelona
Sport students at Cronton Sixth Form College had the opportunity to experience the rich Catalan culture and iconic sporting history during an educational visit to the city of Barcelona.
Over four thrilling days the students visited iconic sites and landmarks including The Joan Antoni Samaranch Olympic and Sports Museum, the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys, PortAventura World theme park, Las Ramblas, and also enjoyed time at the beautiful Barcelona Beach.
The students also got to tour the world famous Camp Nou stadium and watched the superstars of FC Barcelona in an exhilarating game against Osasuna.
Iain Douglas, Head of Sport & Uniformed Services at Cronton said, “The students thoroughly enjoyed their time in Barcelona, it provided them with the opportunity to travel, experience different cultures, grow on a personal level and make lifelong friendships. We are looking forward to returning with students in 2018 for another great trip.”
