A Winning Year: Football and Rugby Teams Achieve Outstanding Success
What an incredible year it has been for the Centre of Excellence for Sport at Cronton Sixth Form. Both our Football and Rugby teams have delivered exceptional performances, and we are proud to celebrate their outstanding achievements.
Our Football team finished the season as ECFA Northwest Men’s League 1 Champions, showcasing skill, teamwork, and determination throughout. Meanwhile, our Rugby team completed a phenomenal campaign, going unbeaten in the North West League and taking home the National Cup Championship. These accomplishments are a true testament to the hard work and commitment of our student-athletes and coaching staff.
Individual honours were also awarded to recognise standout contributions on and off the field:
- Jonathan Fisher was named Football Players’ Player of the Year
- Kyle Lyons received the Football Coaches’ Player award
- Harrison Rigby was honoured as Rugby Players’ Player of the Year
- Rueben Mafi received the Rugby Coaches’ Player award
