Les Miserables Centre of Excellence in Performing Arts
The latest and most ambitious production from the Centre of Excellence in Performing Arts received a standing ovation after all three performances and fabulous reviews and comments including: ‘Brilliant performance’…’the best so far!’…’utterly amazed by the professional production’ and ’this was on par with a show you would watch in the West End’, when the show played to sold out audiences at the end of November.
Following on from the previous success of Phantom of the Opera earlier this year, students were again able to utilise the experience from College patron Zoe Curlett who played Cosette in the original London production of the show. Zoe travelled to rehearsals at the College to help the students with some of the signature moments of the show.
Matt Plant, Head of the Centre of Excellence in Performing Arts and director of Les Miserable’s said, “The Centre of Excellence in Performing Arts students have yet again excelled in our production of Les Miserables. They have all worked tremendously hard during rehearsals to produce this emotional theoretical performance which certainly is our most ambitious production to date. Following on from the success of Phantom of the Opera the students have had the fantastic opportunity to work with our patron and West End star, Zoe Curlett. We have been overwhelmed by the outstanding feedback we have received over the last few days from people in the audience.”
