Year 10 Taster Week
Welcome to Cronton Virtual Tasters Week! At this time of year, you would usually see the Schools Liaison team in school who would be getting ready to welcome you to the college for a year 10 taster day. Although we aren’t able to run this day how we have in the past, we are delighted to invite you to our virtual event instead! This will be on offer between 6th – 10th July between 12pm – 3pm. This is called Virtual Tasters Week and you can register now!
We know that 2020 has been a difficult year for year 10s and we want you to know that we haven’t forgotten about you and are working on new ways to ensure that you do not miss out. Our Schools Liaison team can’t wait to come and see you in school and welcome you to the college for a look around soon. In the meantime, join us for our Virtual Tasters Week where you can find out about the courses we offer, speak to our tutors, hear from our current students and have a go at some activities!
There will be links to some of our performances for you to watch, as well as sporting sessions and other events for you to participate in. Our fun festival theme will help you to navigate around the college and look at as many courses that you are interested in finding out about.
The Schools Liaison team will be on offer to talk you through your options when you leave school, providing you with advice and guidance about what is the best course and programme for you. This includes A Levels, Vocational Courses and Apprenticeships and there will be a live chat throughout each of the days between 12pm and 3pm.
There will be also be useful videos and tutorials about the FREE bus pass scheme that we offer, college bursary and financially support which may be on offer for you, as well as the timeline for admissions and how to apply.
We will be hosting the Virtual Tasters Week at both Cronton Sixth Form and Riverside College between 6th – 10th July so don’t forget to register for both events so that you can see what both colleges have to offer!
