Commedia dell’Arte originated in Venice in the 1600s and was a popular form of street theatre.
Matt Plant, Artistic Director for the Performing Arts Centre of Excellence said, “This type of theatre is rarely performed due to its intense physical demands but students rose to the challenge to create an exceptional piece of theatre. The audience and the examiner were really impressed by the student’s performance during the evening. They all should be proud.”
The evening also consisted of performance exams based upon Equus and Alice in Wonderland as well as other original pieces of work by the talented students themselves.
