New Brighton Geography Trip!
This week our A Level Year 1 Geography students visited New Brighton to investigate the changes to the sand dune profile.
The students completed this activity by collecting data on pH, wind speed, gradient, percentage of ground coverage, plant height, and biodiversity.
Great work everyone!
Dan Adams, Head of A Levels said, “The students have been brilliant this year even with the challenges of COVID, but we wanted to take them out of the classroom to see for themselves what Geography is really about. The students have really enjoyed themselves and have collected lots of data for their own personal coursework pieces.”
One of our A Level Geography students said, “We had so much fun today. It was great collecting data on the sand dunes using different types of equipment. Trips like this bring Geography alive.”
