School Pupils Gain Engineering Experience at Cronton College
Engineering staff and tutors at Cronton Sixth Form College were thrilled to welcome Year 5 pupils from local Widnes primary school Lunts Heath for a jam-packed day of Engineering fun.
The eager pupils got stuck in to a number of educational tasks throughout the day, including a fantastic bridge building activity and an interactive material classification session. With an upcoming Engineering topic, this was the perfect chance for the pupils to pick up some early pointers.
Matthew Crook, Teacher at Lunts Heath Primary School said, “I just want to say a massive thank you from myself and the rest of the school for inviting our Year 5 pupils into College this week! The pupils, teachers and parents were over the moon when they arrived back at school commenting on what a brilliant day they had.
“We would love to grow our relationship with the College even further after today as these sessions are so beneficial to developing our pupil’s early interests of Science. We look forward to seeing you again soon!”
