Cronton Sixth Form works with high-achieving students to enable them to access the best experiences in order to create a strong application to Oxbridge, and other prestigious universities and degrees.
The High Achievers Programme offers students the knowledge and support required in order to complete the application process. Gifted and talented students can access this support alongside additional stretch and challenge programmes at Cronton, enabling students to gain valuable, practical experience to greatly enhance the quality of their application.
Students on the High Achievers Programme are encouraged to take part in extra-curricular and super-curricular college activities including guest speakers from Oxbridge and Russell Group universities, mock interviews by industry specialists, the Duke of Edinburgh’s Gold Award, international trips, representing the college at events and open evenings, Tomorrow’s Programmes including for Scientists, Lawyers and Teachers, The Extended Project Qualification and the Arts Award.

After completing the additional programmes at Cronton, students who wish to meet the early UCAS (university application) deadline for the University of Oxford, University of Cambridge, or for most courses in medicine, veterinary medicine/science, and dentistry will be supported in specialised tutor groups which will provide them with individualised support for the application, interview and exam process.
