An Inspiring Visit from Lord Storey at Cronton Sixth Form
Cronton Sixth Form was delighted to welcome Lord Storey (Michael John Storey), a Life Peer and member of the House of Lords, for a highly informative and inspiring visit with our students.
As part of the Learn with the Lords programme—an initiative we were proud to be selected for through a national application process—Lord Storey spoke openly about his journey into the House of Lords and shared first-hand insights into his experience of working in Parliament. His talk provided students with a valuable understanding of how the UK’s political system operates and what it means to serve in public life.

The session included an engaging question-and-answer segment, where our Law and Politics students demonstrated excellent knowledge and critical thinking through their thoughtful and well-informed questions. Lord Storey also offered fantastic advice on leadership, civic responsibility, and pursuing future ambitions, leaving students feeling inspired and motivated.
It was a truly enriching experience for everyone involved, and we are extremely grateful to Lord Storey for taking the time to visit Cronton Sixth Form and support our students’ learning.
One of our A Level Politics and Law students commented, “Seeing someone from our area go on to have such an important role has really motivated me.”
