What is this course about?
This is one of the most valuable qualifications that someone pursuing a career in the creative industries can study as it allows you to build a professional portfolio enabling you to progress onto university or employment.
The majority of Art and Design degree courses require this qualification in addition to A Levels as it guarantees students make a more accurate choice of specialism in art and offers them more mature and creative students.
It is a diagnostic course, designed to help students experience a wide range of Art & Design disciplines in which to develop a strong portfolio in their chosen field.
Once you have sampled the variety of art disciplines you can make an informed choice as to your specialisation and will then be guided through the UCAS system to progress to the right degree course for you.
